If I have a dual-boot computer, can I activate Smaart on both Operating Systems?


Yes. You can activate Smaart on both operating systems, however you will need one installation spot for each instance of Smaart. You cannot have multiple copies of Smaart use the same activation seat on one license.



The operating system is one of the many components used to generate the Machine ID, so although the operating systems share the same hardware they will be assigned different Machine IDs. If you are not using a virtual machine program (such as Parallels) and are instead dual-booting two separate operating systems, please ensure that the directories are separate and cannot be accessed by each other. We have noticed issues in the past where the licensing system notices both activations and throws an error.



Please also note that the configuration files cannot be shared between copies of Smaart as they are specific to each operating system (click here for more info).
