My Smaart Subscription license has expired; do I need to buy a new one?

Yes. Once a Subscription license has expired, it is no longer usable and cannot be renewed. A new Smaart license must be purchased in order to continue using the program. Opening Smaart with an expired Subscription will result in various licensing errors (see here for details).

If a new Smaart license is purchased, you'll need to first reset the license on your device before activating on the new one. To do this, navigate to the following location and delete the "Smaart9__Sub.ticket"* file:

    Windows - C:\Users\Public\Ticket

    macOS - (MachintoshHD)/Users/Shared/Ticket

Once deleted, restart your computer and open Smaart again. It will ask for the new licensing info as if it's a new install. If you receive a message asking to restore a "Missing Activated License", please click No.

Please contact support@rationalacoustics.com if you run into any issues using the new license. For questions or issues about purchasing a new license, please instead contact sales@rationalacoustics.com

*(Replace __ with your edition of Smaart; Suite, RT, LE, or SPL)
